This site allows University of Ottawa researchers, as well as external researchers wanting to conduct research with uOttawa personnel or students, to submit request forms related to their research project to the Research Ethics Board (REB) for initial and ongoing ethics review (modification requests, annual reports, final reports, etc.).

Ethics review is required for any research involving:

• Human participants, or
• The collection of information on humans, whether prospectively (new data collection) or retrospectively (secondary use of data), or
• The collection of human biological material, including human embryos, fetuses, fetal tissue, reproductive materials, and stem cells, deriving from living and deceased individuals.
